Veronique Tortech was a technician with L'Oreal and consolidated her hairdressing experience at Lyon and Paris. Currently committed to a select brand: Revlon Professional's "reception and advice" (with its charter of required standards) she opened her salon "Preference Coiffure" at Bize-Minervois in 2005.
Mme Tortech devotes time and effort to voluntary work at the College Marcelin Albert with Mr Aribau, maths teacher. In particular, with the support of the Aude Chamber of Trade, she is contributing to building up course material within a framework of partnership between the craftsman and the national education system. This "sandwich course" style of teaching constitutes an investment in the young by adults who hand on the skills of their craft by spending time with apprentices during their training. These future artisans are still at school but thanks to personal effort are already taking their first steps into the world of work.
