Sylvie will be delighted to welcome you to her salon.

The hair salon is in rue des ecoles, close to the old centre of the village, heading towards Fontfresque and the schools.

Sylvie Sola has been in the profession for 26 years and in January 1994 decided to move to Bize-Minervois. A delightful spot, lively, friendly and with plenty for the residents to do.

Most of her clients ask her for classic styles, which she carries off with panache. And she can create all sorts of cuts and styles with equal relish; all challenges accepted.

For the younger generation, especially : rastas, rhinestones, waved or curly hair extensions ....using 100% natural hair (brought from India then laboratory treated and recoloured) which is fixed with a keratin bond. This technique makes it possible, especially for girls, to add length quickly or to experiment with different colours without the need for repeated bleaching and recolouring of the natural hair. Similarly, Sylvie is sometimes asked to use rhinestones to apply long extensions for someone who is in transition from a spell of short hair back to a longer style. It gives the natural hair time to grow back.

For today's boys and young men the switched-on look can be yours on demand. The approach is similar to the folksy or hippie trends of the seventies, but looking very different: it's the "tectonic" look that is now the height of fashion: with the hair tapered and brought together in the style of a "mohican" on top of the head, progressively bleached towards the top....or even the tribal cut, created with mini-clippers that carve strange designs into the hair.

In the village of Bize, just like in town, you can get yourself a hair style that's "different". Whether it's your passing fad, or a determination to assert yourself, to stand out from the crowd or, indeed, to blend in, a hair style is one of the ways everyone can make their mark in the world.
