Students’ Parents

Association of Students' Parents

The objectives of the association.

Whether it is to gain knowledge or through the attendance of other adults alongside the teachers, the children are supported via the association during the first years of their schooling, which is essential for their future.

As a complement to the dynamic school environment and considering the needs of the children, it was proposed to form the Parents Association. With a subsidy from the council, action was taken, and meetings set up during the year.

Preparations for the Halloween and Christmas celebrations, for the lotto and the tombola, and the traditional bazaar at the end of the year are all an indication of the commitment of the parents. This commitment adds value to the life of the school institution and benefits the children. At Halloween, the school children are accompanied by their parents. They meet up at the Promenade, usually at the start of the All Saints holidays. The school children, who are dressed up as monsters and wizards with pumpkins of every sort, go out in the village streets and knock on the house doors to collect sweets and other titbits.

The men and women of Bize, who are willing to welcome them, tie balloons to their doors and windows of their homes. The school children are invited to join up with the merry troupe MOUSTRES DE BIZE-MINERVOIS.

During the annual recreational afternoon, the members and supporters of the association make cakes, which are offered at the refreshment stall, along with drinks. This event helps the association to raise funds, which is added to the subsidy from the council.

 


The sum raised helps to organise trips for the children or events within the school, to complement what the teaching team provides. In addition, part of the proceeds from this recreational afternoon is donated for the benefit of the Telethon.
During the final week of school in 2007, the school children from all the classes went to see a circus show (with pairs of clowns, magicians, jugglers...), presented at the Bize-Minervois town hall by APPECA, the Aude circus school. This event was entirely financed by the association.
