During the summer of 2008, a new leisure facility was launched in the hills of Pech, between the villages of Bize-Minervois and Montouliers.

In a very beautiful spot, completely in harmony with nature, Mrs Camille Auguste, a Bize resident since 2001, opened The Appaloosas of Pech, a ranch dedicated to treks on horse or pony, for all comers.

Children from the age of 3 can enjoy pony activities.  Horse trekking is available from age 7 plus.

All the various ranch buildings are beautifully constructed in wood, erected deep in the countryside.  The site is magnificent with a wild aspect.  It is there, in the Minervois hills, that Camille Auguste realised a childhood dream.


To live close to horses is a passion, which has become reality, and for this dynamic rancher, it has been a very full journey to fruition: 4 years of study in a school specialising in horse ownership (Vaxergues at Saint Affrique), a professional qualification in equestrian tourism, and a diploma in group leadership.  These qualifications allow her to diversify into some proposed activities: as well as raising colts and horses, she proposes stud work, selling hay,colts...

  • Outings from the ranch are available 7 days per week, generally during the day (from 9am onwards)


  • Possible treks on demand


  • The treks last from half an hour on a pony up to a whole day on a horse.
